Our Criteria

From the get go SARTH have been a mission-led company, with a strong focus on production methods, raw materials, working conditions and the environmental footprint fashion has.

We desire to only provide the best products in the world of fashion and lifestyle. It is a progress, we are not perfect, but we strive to do everything consciously. Therefore, we also don't just choose products to be on SARTH - we handpick them and hold each item up against 8 criteria and evaluate whether a piece is good enough to be sold on SARTH.
Read about the 8 concrete criteria below.

Fair Factories & Audits

Audit reports helps to ensure that factories are regularly audited for safe and fair working conditions. An audit report tells us about chemical handling, minimum and living wages in the specific country, child labor, discrimination and 9 other key focus areas. We always ask to read audits.

Longevity & Quality

Durability is key – we believe in products that stand the test of time and transcends seasons.

Materials & Composition

We prioritize natural and recycled materials, upcycling and deadstock. Compositions shouldn’t be more than 3 fibers and preferably only 1!

Certifications & Standards

Many of our selected product meet rigorous industry certifications and standards, which reveal a lot of information about how a garment was made and what the working conditions are like. They also validate the brands' responsibility and ethical commitment and the brands' value while also providing guidance and credentials.

Fair Wages

There is still a long way to go before workers in manufacturing are paid a living wage. We nudge brands to do so, by selecting products where we can make sure there are third party audits or certifications that have fair wages and social responsibility as criteria to be accredited. No Toxic Chemicals

All products are free from harmful chemicals to protect the workers, you and the planet.

Social Responsibility

We love a brand that contribute positively to society, whether through charity, community initiatives, or ethical practices is what brings us the most joy.

Shipping Methods

We consider the carbon footprint of shipping methods, opting for items that have been transported by train or truck.
