Tova skirt is made of 100% GRS certified recycled polyester. The GRS (Global Recycle Standard) is an international, voluntary standard that set requirements for third-party certification of recycled input and chain of custody. The goal is to increase the use of recycled materials and it includes criteria for social and environmental processing requirements and chemical restrictions.

The brand's name, "esme”, meaning "to hold in high esteem" or "to love" in French, reflects esmé studios commitment to the concept of slow fashion.
