Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is recognised as the world’s leading standard for organic textiles and requires meeting a comprehensive set of ecological and social criteria that ensures the end-to-end garment production process is carried out responsibly.

Produced in China at Suzhou Great Garment TRADE Co., Ltd. The production facility is BSCI audited. It is transported by ship and truck with courier ALPI which compensates for 100% of their emissions with projects such as CEMAsys planting mangrove trees in Myanmar.

The brand's name, "esme”, meaning "to hold in high esteem" or "to love" in French, reflects esmé studios commitment to the concept of slow fashion.
